BrittiCares - BrittiCares International is a 501 ( C ) ( 3 ) nonprofit organization committed to finding new and better ways to improve the quality of life for children who have been diagnosed with cancer. BCI wishes to raise funds and public awareness to combat this disease. The purpose of the funds will go toward research and development, where BCI will work shoulder to shoulder with oncologists, surgeons, and nutritionists. The funds will also help to create a safe haven for young people with cancer where hugs are overflowing, smiles are infectious, and dreams become a reality. www.BrittiCares.org

The South Los Angeles Chapter of Jack and Jill of America was organized in 1956 in the home of Velma Woods with JoAnna Hayes as the first President of the Mother's Club. It was installed in July, 1957 with Jewel Jackson as the first President. Currently the Chapter runs under the leadership of Tracie Thompson.
